Happy 4th Birthday Hudson. (An Elf Affair)

For a year, Hudson has known what kind of birthday party he wanted....Buddy the Elf. He watches Elf at least once a week. Daily he finds ways to quote the movie. What could be more perfect for my 4 year old?
I was so pleased with the invitations. I found them at Custom Wrappers 4 U on ETSY. I was super pleased with the price and the speed in which she got them to me.
A few days before the party, my Mom and I had a craft day. We finished decorating (which was super easy...we just decorated for Christmas VERY early this year) and made this wreath. It is our own little Buddy the Elf. We used DecoMesh and I painted his legs from burlap. My Mom found his cute Elf hat at the dollar store.
The morning of the party, we were very excited to see that our Elf, Max, had come to see his favorite 4 year old. We sent him a small invitation (a thumbnail of the invitation that I had printed out) but we knew that he was busy getting everything ready for Christmas. He even came bearing an awesome Buddy the Elf shirt for Huds to wear to his party. (Hudson's shirt and my "Cotton Headed Ninny Muggins" shirt came from Old Navy...Max told me where he got his shirt) ;).
I made cupcake toppers for the cupcakes. Ok, lets talk about those cupcakes. "They're ginormous!" We ordered them from Costco and I seriously have never seen "cupcakes" that large. I think next time, we will stick with Sam's where they are actually cupcakes and not baby smash cakes.
When all his friends started arriving, they watched Elf until everyone got there.
Once all his buddies were there, we made a this craft from Oriental Trading.
It was very cute, but I didn't realize you would have to use glue. It took a little bit of time but most of the older kids really liked it.
We sang "Happy Birthday" to the man and then we feasted on ginormous cupcakes.
It is so funny to me how the birthday kid always feels so uncomfortable being sung to.
Hudson and his super cute friend.

 Present time!
His friends were so sweet. They loved to see what he got and were so excited for Hudson. I really love his buddies!
 My two little elves!
Happy Birthday Hudson. We love you so much!
