First Day of First Grade

The first day of first grade has come and gone and I am still trying to figure out where the time has gone. How is my baby old enough to be in first grade? If someone figures out how to slow time....please let me know.
The Friday before the big day was "Meet the Teacher" night. Excitement was in the air. Happy to meet his teacher but SO ready to see his friends. The boys positioned themselves in the corner and "gossiped" and played games on their parent's phones. You could tell they really missed each other over the summer.
His teacher Mrs. Raquel is a total gem. We are so excited to be in her class.
The next morning, Jackson and I had a date. We had school clothes and a few remaining supplies to get. It was tax-free weekend, so we left early to beat the crazies. We started the morning at Starbucks. We had to be properly caffeinated/sugared up in preparation of the crazies that we might meet.
The first (and most important to Jackson) stop of the morning was Kohl's. We needed new shoes. Jackson is picky, picky, picky when it comes to shoes. They must be fast. They must be fast. They must be bright. After a few laps around the shoe section, these shoes met the criteria. Bonus for Mom: 20% off coupon and I got some Kohl's cash! Score. The rest of the day was easy: new pants, polo shirts and found the supplies that we needed and didn't meet any crazies along the way!
First day of school breakfast: cinnamon toast and fruit.
Lunch is packed: pizza, fruit (grapes, strawberries, and raspberries with chocolate chips), carrots and Ranch, dessert, and water with Mio.
Hudson was very sad to see Jackson go. He loves having him home on our Mondays.
"Ok Mom. Enough with the pictures."
